 ift of versatile test scenarios toward a virtual world necessary. Technolo
 gy providers need to make the numerous possible solutions offered by drivi
 ng simulators their own\, while OEMs and suppliers have to develop them fu
 rther for the future. All too often this potential is not fully exploited 
 due to the increasing complexity of these systems and a heterogeneous hard
 ware and software environment. With the 5th Symposium Driving Simulation t
 he organizers want to offer science and industry a better access and possi
 bilities for exchange and future collaborations.\nThe Symposium Driving Si
 mulation will be held on 20 + 21 November 2019. The event gathers internat
 ional driving simulation specialists from science and industry and offers 
 a unique forum for professional exchange. The fifth edition will be held i
 n Aachen after the venues of Stuttgart\, Berlin\, Braunschweig and Kaisers
 lautern. The lecture sessions will be accompanied by an exhibition of driv
 ing simulation providers and organizations. Topics include state-of-the-ar
 t driving simulation and virtual reality as well as the latest achievement
 s in science. Particular focus of the event is on User Interaction Researc
 h\, Driver Assistance Application\, Immersion Measures for Driving Simulat
